Q & A
What are the Elite+ and Elite iQ systems?
The Elite+ and Elite iQ Aesthetic Workstations are laser platforms that let your team deliver powerful treatments backed by a strong safety record — the kind of product quality Cynosure® is known for. They use dual-wavelength technology, bringing the power of Nd:YAG together with both 755 nm and 1064 nm wavelengths, so treatments can be customized for all skin types.
Variable spot sizes and adjustable pulse durations give you fine control, and switching wavelengths is simple — even mid-session. A patented air-cooling system keeps patients comfortable throughout.
What can the Elite+ and iQ systems treat?
- Laser hair removal
- Hyperpigmentation treatment
- Wrinkle reduction
- Vascular treatments
Is the Elite+ or iQ system right for everyone?
The versatility of these workstations makes them a great fit for any aesthetics practice, but some patients need extra caution before light therapy. Patients taking photosensitizing medication may not be ideal candidates; although Elite+ and iQ do not create UVA or UVB rays, some individuals can still react, so spot testing is needed.
Patients using prescription topical medication for acne or anti-aging should stop for at least a couple of weeks before laser therapy, since skin changes can make treatment risky. Patients with previous gold therapy should never have laser procedures. A thorough screening at consultation is the best way to confirm a patient is a good candidate.
